๐ก๏ธ Responsible Gaming
Play for fun, stay in control โ the tools and help available to you.
Our Commitment to Responsible Gaming
At Vela we want playing to stay what it should be: entertainment โ never a source of income. Most players enjoy our games as a fun pastime, but we know that for some people gambling can become a problem. This page explains how to keep your play safe, how to recognise the warning signs early, the tools we give you to stay in control, and where to find free, independent help if you ever need it.
Whoever you are and however you play, this commitment is the same: we would rather you play less and enjoy it than play more and regret it. Our support team can help you use the tools on this page, without judgment.

Play-Safe Principles
A few simple habits keep gambling fun. We encourage every player to follow them from day one:
- Set a budget before you play. Decide how much you can comfortably afford to lose, treat it as the cost of entertainment, and stop when it is gone.
- Never chase losses. Money lost is the price of the game, not a debt the game owes you. Trying to win it back is how small losses become big ones.
- Never gamble with borrowed money. If the money is not yours to lose โ a loan, a credit line, money set aside for bills or family โ do not play with it.
- Decide in advance how long you will play. Take regular breaks, and avoid playing when tired, upset, or under the influence of alcohol.
- Keep balance in your life. Gambling should be one leisure activity among many, not a replacement for family, friends, work or sleep.
- Never play to escape. If you are gambling to cope with stress, loneliness or low mood, it is time to take a break and talk to someone.
Understand the Games You Play
Every game on Vela is supplied by third-party game studios through an aggregation platform. Game outcomes are produced by the game provider and are authoritative โ they are games of chance, and no strategy, system or "lucky streak" changes the underlying odds.
Over time, the odds favour the house. That is how casino games work everywhere, and it is exactly why you should only ever play with money you are happy to spend on entertainment. Winning sessions happen โ but they are luck, not skill, and they are never a reliable way to make money.
Bonuses, Budgets and Turnover
Bonuses can add to the fun, but they come with conditions. Every promotion carries its own terms, including a turnover (wagering) requirement, and one deposit can claim one deposit bonus. The exact amounts, requirements and timings are always shown on each promotion and in the cashier.
Claiming a bonus is always your choice, although some rewards, such as VIP rewards, may be added to your account without a claim. Once a bonus is on your account, claimed or added, you cannot give it up, and you cannot withdraw until its turnover is complete. So only claim a bonus whose turnover fits the budget you set.
Please never stretch your budget just to complete a turnover requirement. If a bonus is pushing you to play more than you planned, talk to our team through the channels listed on Help & Support, or use the tools below. Read the details on our Promotions page and in our Terms & Conditions before you claim.
Warning Signs: A Quick Self-Check
Problem gambling usually builds up gradually. Take a moment and answer these questions honestly:
- Do you spend more time or money gambling than you planned to?
- Have you tried to win back money you have lost?
- Have you gambled with money meant for bills, food or family โ or borrowed money to play?
- Do you hide your gambling, or lie about it, to people close to you?
- Do you feel restless, irritable or anxious when you try to cut down or stop?
- Is gambling affecting your sleep, your work, your studies or your relationships?
- Do you gamble to escape worries, stress or low mood?
If you answered yes to even one of these, please consider taking a break and using the tools below. Answering yes is not a failure โ it is the moment to act while it is still easy to.
Tools to Keep You in Control
These are the tools we offer to help you stay in control, and they are free to use. The ones available on your account appear in your player profile under "Safer Gambling" after you sign in. Our support team can also apply any of them to your account for you, through the channels listed on Help & Support.
Deposit Limits
Cap the amount (in USDT) you can deposit per day, per week or per month. Once a limit is reached, further deposits are declined until its period resets. Setting a limit while you are calm is the easiest way to protect the budget you decided on.
Loss Limits
Set the most you want to lose per day, per week or per month, counted as your bets minus your winnings on finished rounds over that period. Once your losses reach the limit, you cannot open a new game until the period resets. A game you already have open is not closed, so your losses can go past the limit while you keep playing it.
For both deposit and loss limits, a new or lower limit applies immediately. If you raise or remove one, the change is delayed or needs approval from our team, and the limit keeps protecting you in the meantime.
Cooling-Off
A short break from playing. Choose a cooling-off period of 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. During it you cannot deposit or play, although you can still sign in to see your account, and you cannot end it early yourself. It is a good option when you notice you are playing more than you meant to and want breathing room without a long-term commitment.
If you need a longer break than a cooling-off period gives you, talk to our team through the channels listed on Help & Support, and consider contacting one of the independent organizations listed below.
Underage Gambling โ Strictly 18+
You must be 18 years or older to hold an account or play on Vela. We take this seriously:
- Identity (KYC) verification may be required, including before any withdrawal, and is used to enforce our age policy.
- Any account found to belong to a minor will be closed.
- If you share a device with anyone under 18, please sign out after playing and keep your password private. Parental-control software can also help restrict access to gambling sites at home.
If you believe a minor is using our services, please tell our support team immediately.
Getting Help โ Free, Independent and Confidential
If gambling is causing you or someone you care about harm, you do not have to handle it alone. These independent organizations offer free, confidential support and are not connected to Vela:
- Gambling Therapy โ free international online support, advice and forums for anyone affected by gambling, with dedicated resources for Asia and support in multiple languages.
- BeGambleAware โ free information, self-assessment tools and guidance on safer gambling and getting support.
Reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness โ and it also helps to talk to someone you trust: a family member, a friend, or a counsellor.
